Its all about the Posture. More impact is created if your posture is correct and shows your confidence. Coupled with your expressions, your posture should define what you are projecting. be it an outfit or just an attitude. Posture is everything. Do not slouch. That shows the lack of confidence. There is a difference between leaning and slouching. Models need to bring in a good posture in everything that they do, be it posing in front of the camera or otherwise sitting or standing. Posture plays a huge role as you walk the Ramp. Every individual has his or her own way of doing things and that's what stands us apart. However, slouching is the last thing you should be doing.
Do not declare that you are nervous! Biting your nails, clicking a pen or something, fiddling with your thumb are all sign of showing how nervous you are. A lot of do it all the time without realizing it but you as a model have chosen a career which is all about confidence as you play a role model for a lot of people.
These signs do not give a positive impression as you go out for auditions and interviews with your prospective clients and art or casting directors. This gives the impression that you may not be able to handle a difficult role in a film or express yourself well in an advertising campaign.
As I pose my models, I try to see what best they are at naturally. How they stand, how they sit and walk around even when they are not in front of the camera. Besides well established models, I do work with a lot of new aspiring models for their portfolio, the very first step they take in the world of modelling. It's important for me to notice and bring out the best in them while avoiding their negative aspects.
Having some props around us helps us stand comfortably as there is something to lean on to be it a wall behind or a table or a chair in front. Being a Model is different. You may not have such a support system and good models are capable of being on their own all together. The way they stand or sit on a simple plain backdrop can say a lot about their body language and what they are expressing through it. It does not have to be a story always and even a simple posture can look quite appealing so many times.

When male and female models are posing together, the chemistry between them should show across. As professional models they need to coordinate amongst themselves to bring out the best body language and strike a pose which looks appealing. As a photographer ofcourse one can fine tune the postures but it has come from the couple to begin with.
As a model for lingerie you should not have any inhibitions and should be able to carry the "outfit" confidently. Any sign of nervousness is going to show in the camera.
